This is an estimate. Your actual balance depends on your employer records and the rules that apply to your job.

How It Works

Private-Sector Annual Leave

1

21 Days

The minimum annual leave is 21 days.

2

30 Days After 5 Years

After completing 5 consecutive years with the same employer, annual leave increases to at least 30 days.

3

Unused Leave When Leaving

When employment ends, unused accrued leave is payable, including a proportional amount for part of a year.

Important: While employment continues, annual leave is not normally replaced with cash instead of taking the leave. The cash estimate here is intended for when employment ends.
