Invoice language

According to ZATCA guidance, the data visible on the human-readable invoice must be in Arabic. English may also be included alongside Arabic.

Tax vs Simplified Tax Invoice

A Tax Invoice is generally used for business-to-business transactions, while a Simplified Tax Invoice is generally used for consumer transactions. The correct type depends on the transaction and applicable requirements.

Important Phase 2 notice

Hasebio creates a printable invoice draft with calculations and a basic QR code when the required data is available. This generator is not a replacement for a ZATCA-integrated Phase 2 e-invoicing solution, including required integration, signing, reporting or clearance functions.

This tool assists with preparing an invoice draft and calculations. The user remains responsible for confirming the requirements that apply to their business and transaction.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a tax invoice and a simplified one?

A tax invoice is normally for business customers and carries the buyer's details. A simplified tax invoice is for sales to consumers and needs fewer buyer details.

Does the invoice include a QR code?

Yes. The tool creates a basic QR code with the main Saudi e-invoice fields. It is not an approved e-invoicing system, so check ZATCA requirements for your business.

Can I print or save it?

Yes. Use Print, or choose Save as PDF in the print window.

Is this an approved e-invoicing system?

No. It helps you prepare an invoice. Businesses that must follow ZATCA e-invoicing phases should use a ZATCA-compliant system and check their phase.

What does the QR code contain?

The seller name, the seller VAT number, the invoice date and time, the total with VAT and the VAT amount.

Is the VAT number required?

Yes. A Saudi VAT number has 15 digits. The tool checks the format, but only ZATCA can confirm it is registered.
